brown sugar choc chip cookies

Updated: Dec 26, 2018

It is hard to beat a warm choc chip cookie with a fresh cold glass of milk. I used to love baking when I lived back at home and since I am visiting my family, I decided to do some baking! Here's a quick and easy recipe for brown sugar choc chip cookies.

  • 220g butter

  • 320g brown sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 380g plain flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • chocolate chips/nuts/almonds*

  • pinch of salt

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C. Line the baking tray with parchment paper.

  2. Melt butter in a little saucepan.

  3. Add sugar and eggs into a bowl and mix.

  4. Pour melted sugar into the mixture.

  5. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Stir until combined.

  6. Add in chocolate chips/nuts/almonds.

  7. Once the cookie dough is finished, make little balls (around 3 cm in diameter) and place them evenly leaving a 6 cm gap between each one.

  8. Bake for 10-15 minutes (until the edges are golden brown).

  9. Leave them to cool for 5 minutes, and enjoy your cookies!

*you can either add chocolate chips, almonds, coconut or nuts if you like. You can also add a combination of these together.

(if you have a pet, you can make them little biscuits with no chocolate in them for little treats)
