Nothing sounds better than a freshly baked cupcake with a hot cup of tea. Since I enjoy baking I love trying new recipes out whenever I can. This is a recipe that I found in my mum's recipe book a while ago and have been loving it since. The cupcakes come out fluffy, soft and they just melt in your mouth. I decided to share the recipe with you!
625g of flour
375 liters of milk
125g of sugar
200g of butter
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of oil
Preheat oven to 210 C. Fill the cupcake tin with little paper forms.
Melt butter in a little saucepan.
Add sugar and eggs into a bowl and mix.
Pour melted sugar into the mixture.
Add flour, baking powder, milk and oil. Stir until combined.
Add the chocolate chips if you wish.
Fill the cupcake papers with a tablespoon of dough.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
* I usually do the first half on the dough and then add cocoa to the rest to have a mixture of plain and chocolate flavored cupcakes. You can also mix the plain and chocolate dough together to create a zebra like cupcake.
